About the League:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana’s Flag Football League is a co-ed league held at our Duneland, Portage, South Haven and Valparaiso Clubs. Teams come together on Saturday’s to play other Clubs at Field of Dreams in South Haven. Our leagues focus on developing good sportsmanship and having fun while learning the fundamentals of the game.
PRO U™ announces the addition to another shooting and ball handling basketball session the week of December 27, 28, and 29, 2017. Each session is for Boys and Girls 3rd grade through 12th grade and consist of three days Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. There is availability for session three with an emphasis on fundamentals of basketball and the newly added session five with an emphasis on shooting and ball handling, session two is full.
Crown Point Parks and Recreation Department has announced the format and dates for their "Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday Night Happy Hour" adult volleyball league. All volleyball matches will be played at “Ignite Elite Volleyball Courts” located at 1516 North Main Street in Crown Point, Indiana. Team entry fee is as follows:
Crown Point Parks and Recreation Department has announced the format and dates for their "Tuesday and Friday Night" adult volleyball league. Competitive, co-ed, and women's volleyball teams will play on Tuesday night while recreational co-ed teams will play on Friday night. All FRIDAY volleyball matches will be played on the Ignite Elite Volleyball Courts and half of the TUESDAY volleyball matches while the remaining matches will be played on the “Universal Fitness” Courts located at 1516 North Main Street in Crown Point, Indiana. The sun rose this Sunday over Hammond’s Wolf Lake Pavilion to a great crowd for the city’s second annual Race to the Rescue - an event that sees competitors compete in a 9K foot race around Hammond’s Wolf Lake, and a 5K race also held along the shores of Wolf Lake, with the main event being a whopping 20-mile bike race throughout Wolf Lake Memorial Park. Each race provided its own challenges for the racers.
Youth Cross Country is an exciting way for kids to learn about running and its wonderful benefits. No need for special equipment, just the willingness to run. This program is run in partnership with Valparaiso YCMA and Valparaiso Parks Department. The season runs from September 11 through October 21. Registration is open online at www.dunelandymca.org or at the Y Welcome Center now through September 3. The cost of participating in Youth Cross Country is $40 for Y members and 480 for non-members.

With helmets fastened, bike wheels pumped full of air, and a strong desire to improve the lives of cancer patients throughout La Porte County, hundreds of cyclists pedaled their way through the 16th Annual Tour de La Porte 100, 60, 40, 25, 15, and five mile bike trails.
For the 16th year in a row, over 1,200 athletes from all over the nation came together to support cancer patients and promote a healthy lifestyle at the Tour de La Porte’s Half Marathon Run, 10K Run, and 5K Run/Walk.
The first day of the 16th Annual Tour De La Porte kicked off to a great start on Friday, which saw over 100 runners and walkers participate in the three day long event’s 5K Trail Run.
